Products: We offer small business owners, realtors, lawyers, and insurance agents administrative support virtually at a much more affordable cost than hiring a secretary. We provided transcription, web design, word processing, as well as many other services. We even have a greeting card line for small business owners to get customized birthday, thank you and holiday cards with the option of having us maintain their mailing list and mail cards accordingly.
Why you chose this business : I chose it because I love the creativness it allows me and that there is no "monotony" as every project is different. I also love the fact that my hours are flexible so I can spend time with my daughter and work while she is asleep. I still put in an 8 hour day, but it my work allows me to schedule the times I work.
Hardest part of business : Finding clientele. It's hard to change some businesses minds to see that this is affordable. Many business owners are used to "seeing" the work getting done, and though they still get updates and can request at anytime to see what is done, they don't get to "watch" it being done. For some people the idea seems difficult to grasp. The benefits for them are so abundant, it is hard to cover all the ways they would benefit!
Best part of business: Working from home and being with my daughter as she grows up. Also, I love to work to build up my business and it is exciting when a new project or client comes along. The adrenaline gets rushing!!!
Are you successful by your standards? Yes! I am working at building something that will I can continue working at for a long time and I am there for my daughter when she needs me. What could be better?
Biggest support : My husband!! He has had the faith and support, and though finances are tight, he still encourages me to follow my dreams. Everytime I have a success, he is cheering for me, even if it is a "little" success!!
Anything you would do different? I would have started this business before I quit my other job so that finances would not be so tight.

I love network marketing. I enjoy the continual process of
learning that must take as I explore better ways of "making
it happen."
I especially relate to the people side of the business.
The thought of meeting someone who is just the right match
for the products and services I market is a joy for me. I
have come to recognize that this joy springs from one of my
basic motivations: to help people succeed or enjoy life in
some way or another.
And I'm quite sure that is why the coaching aspect of
building a team of professionals is especially meaningful to
me.
"BUT JUST HOW DO I BUILD A SUCCESSFUL TEAM ANYWAY?"
Answering that question was a challenge to me right from the
beginning of my network marketing adventure.
As I reflected about what it meant to be a coach in the
business realm, I decided very quickly that I one of my
first steps needed to be...
Letting people know where my heart was
in terms of how I wanted to build my
business.
A MISSION STATEMENT?
Call it a mission statement, a way of operating, a set of
guidelines... or whatever.
I just knew I wanted to provide those in my sphere of
influence with the following:
1. A personal statement of what was important to me
2. A way to begin thinking about how they would
conduct their own team building efforts
The phrase I finally decided to use was:
"Foundational Concepts of Our Team"
SO WHAT'S THE POINT IN SHARING ALL THIS?
If you have not provided a mental framework through which
those you are leading can view their own businesses, you
may want to think about creating one for them -- if for
no other purpose than allowing them to understand what
"the heart of the matter" is from your perspective.
I believe it will help you.
And it could help your team.
You may want to begin the process by asking yourself a few
simple questions:
"What values are most important to me as I seek to
build my business?"
"How do I want those I lead to build their
businesses?"
"If someone were to ask me the top three guiding
principles of my business efforts, what would I share
with them?"
I have found it helpful to think in terms of...
1. A one-word statement of your important concept
2. A statement of philosophy that expands on the
concept you have chosen
3. A one sentence or phrase "defining statement" that
summarizes the essence of the concept you have
chosen
BY WAY OF EXAMPLE...
Below is what I formulated and share with each person who
becomes a member of my team.
Use it to gain ideas for formulating the unique expression
of "you" for those you lead.
