The weather has been absolutely beautiful the last few days, making it very hard to work inside (or keep the kids inside while I work for that matter!). However, we've managed to get a lot done here at Mommy's Helper and Mom's Market, although we still need your help! Why you chose this business : I chose The HomeMaker's Idea Company because of the fact that we have so few representatives...most people haven't even heard of us! What a ground-floor opportunity! Yet, the company has a well-established 33-year base.
Hardest part of business : The hardest part? Probably choosing which products I want for my free shopping spree each month! :o) As a rep, we get a LOT of free stuff. There really haven't been any challenges to speak of because Madolyn has truly given us everything we need to succeed in this business.....my only challenge has been trying to find more days in my calendar to do shows, because EVERYONE wants to have one!
Best part of business: The best part has been the income, by far. With what I make, I am able to make our mortgage payment and cover a lot of extras for our kids. Plus, the trips we earn are so easy to achieve, unlike with other companies. We took almost 1/3 of our reps on the Disney cruise!
Are you successful by your standards? I feel that I am successful, but for so many reasons. First, I was successful BEFORE I started with Homemaker's, because I'm a Mommy. And I am still a mommy first, and I love that I can be a mommy first and still make as much money as I do, but do it when it fits into my schedule. I feel so lucky.
Biggest support : My family. We receive a tremendous amount of support from our Home Office, but my husband has been my biggest cheerleader, and ofcourse once you take your children on a Disney Cruise, they're pushing you out the door to do more shows so they can go on the next trip!
Anything you would do different? I would have started sooner. I looked at this business for 2 years before starting. What a waste of 2 years! If I had to do it over, I would have started right away.

Most children enjoy helping in the preparations of their lunches and snacks. Choose meals that the children can help with and everybody has a great time. As you prepare the food together you can also take the time to teach colors, numbers, and nutritional importance.
When I was pregnant with my son I was amazed at the advice that was given to me. Within the advice I received from family, friends, and complete strangers I discovered two very common themes. The first was that my life would never be the same and the second was to enjoy all the sleep I could get before the baby came. Frankly, the idea of not having any sleep was much more frightening to me then my life being completely altered.
1 packages of Angle Hair Pasta
1 cup butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup Dried Basil, Dried Oregano, Dried Cilantro
Garlic Salt
Cook pasta and drain. Add butter and olive oil. Once butter is melted, add spices. Add garlic salt to taste, and additional spices if need be.
