Why you chose this business : I wanted to continue staying home with my kids and was burned out with the daycare I was running. I chose Home and Garden Party because it is a new home party plan that can offer a ground floor opportunity, yet was old enough to work out all it's kinks. I reasearched different companies and found that HGP was very well rounded in the fact that the products were very affordable, there was such a variety that everyone can find something for themselves. And the hostess benefits and designer commissions were out of this world. Now all that with no quotas, no inventory, no delivery, great incentives and recognition along with being a Christian Based Business-I was sold!
Hardest part of business : Self Discipline. Although I was in business for myself before with Daycare, I knew that parents would be knocking at my door at 7 a.m. in the morning. But not having a "BOSS" or having a "Time Clock" to punch into has been my biggest struggle. It's so easy to NOT GO TO WORK.
Best part of business: The best part of joining Home and Garden Party is the difference it has made in my family time and finances. I would have never dreamed I would ever be able to work part time from home and make this kind of money. And it's very rewarding spiritually to share the opportunity with others.
Are you successful by your standards? Defintely. I feel more successful now than ever before. I have an awesome team all over the United States and they are very successful too. I feel I am successful because I am making a living, staying at home with my children, and loving what I do.
Biggest support : My husband is by far my biggest support system. He is very involved with me in my business and knows that it is our retirement! I also have a good support system with my company and fellow designers as well. We are all one big happy family!

You may have heard about the "summer slowdown". You may be experiencing it right now, or you may not be affected. Regardless it's important to pay attention, and do something this time of year. Question on link tracking... How does everyone track their links?? I've been using a very basic script for a couple of things.. but I'm not really sure it's what I should be using LOL.
Are you only concerned with how many hits each link is getting or more indepth details about it.
I'd love some advice on this.

Hey everyone! Would you do me a quick favor and check out my new website for the Disciple's Cross's that I'm making? I'd like you to check for typo's and to make sure everything fits right on the pages. I haven't purchased a domain name for it yet cause I haven't come up with a good name. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them! It cannot have Disciple's Cross in the domain or my business name, so I'd like to have something unique.
This is a great family craft because everyone can do it. Small children will have fun with it because often they are learning how to set the table, how to help out at mealtime. Everybody has their own chair at the dinner table (or the kitchen table in most houses...). Children can make placemats for the whole family, designing them with some of the materials to look similar in design so that they match each other.
Not that I believe in any of that, mind you…although both sides of my family originated in the land of the Brothers Grimm and their infamous fairy tales. Read the REAL collection and you’ll understand why they were told to keep kids scared into obedience.
Money Saving Tips??
I am moving into a big house soon, and I am going to have alot of added expenses I didn`t have before. So- I am needing more tips on saving money!!!
3/4 c. warm water about 80 degrees F
1 Tbl. olive oil
1 Tbl. brown suger
1 tsp. italian seasoning (avoid garlic - yeast will not rise)
1 Tbl. dry milk
2 1/4 c. Unbleached white flour
1 tsp. active dry yeast.
Add ingredients in order in bread machine, making small indention in flower for yeast (Make sure it does not touch liquid). Set bread machine on "dough". If you don't have a bread machine, mix ingredients together and kneed dough for 5 minutes. Lightly coat with olive oil and place in bowl. Let rise for 30 minutes.
Use half of dough for thin crust, and freeze the other half if need be. When finished, roll out dough on pizza pan. Poke holes in dough and coat with olive oil, garlic, italian spices, and parmesan cheese. Bake for 5 mins at 425 degrees.
Add favorite toppings and bake!
